HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR A PET PORTRAIT:

Decide if you want a head and shoulder or full body portrait.

Consider if you would like your portrait painting in pastels or acrylics.

Confirm the number of animals you require in one portrait.

Pastel paintings require framing with glass - what size frame would you want. Paintings can be completed to a standard or bespoke size.

Select your favourite photograph(s). They need to be taken using a Digital SLR for best results. Take them at eye level -not looking down. Focus on getting clarity of the face, especially the eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Take in natural daylight with the light behind you if possible.

If you do not have access to a Digital SLR camera and have original photographs, it may be possible to use these, but I would need to assess the quality of the photographs and advise you of their suitability. The better the quality of the photograph, the better the final painting!

If you would like me to arrange to take photographs of your pet, this can be arranged at minimal cost.

Confirm the actual date when the painting is required, as much notice as possible is appreciated. I will advise if this is possible when you make enquiries, dependent upon my workload.

Discuss any specific requirements you may have, for example the colour of the background, if you would like me to frame it for you.

I will then confirm details of cost and suggested size for you. Prices will vary according to the size, medium, number of subjects on one portrait and the work involved.

If you want to proceed, you will need to pay a 20% non refundable deposit. The remaining balance will be due on completion once you have agreed the proof painting.
